Spirit Walker - Book Review

Spirit Walker is the second book of the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness Series. It is about Torak finding a cure for the sickness in the forest. He has to travel across the waters to the Seal Camp, where people who thought were nice to him, tried to kill him in the end. This book is a page turner and their are so many interesting twists in it.

This is my favorite book so far in this series because it is interesting to learn how all the different clans used the animals for everything. Weapons, pots, knives, clothes, oil. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an adventure. This was awesome! Well....until next time.

Wolf Brother - Book Review

Wolf Brother is a book about Torak a 12-year-old boy losing his father to a demon bear that is invincible. In the beginning Torak does not realize that the baby cub following him around would be his best friend in the end that he will miss the most. Torak can communicate with the cub because he is half wolf half human. In the end they eventually defeat the bear, but that is not the end of this series.

I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a page turner and adventure book. I bought the rest of the series after I finished the first one and am now working on the second book called Spirit Walker. This book is amazing and I look forward to reading many more of Michelle Paver's novels.

Lord of the Flies - Book Review

This book is about a plane that crashed down with a group of boys in it. They landed in the middle of a tropical island. Ralph and "Piggy" find a conch and use it to call in all the other boys. This book is about the boys surviving and eventually making a fire on a mountain to signal nearby ships. They eventually get rescued but, the journey wasn't easy, it was sad and at the same time fun to have no adult's around to tell them what to do.

I enjoyed this book as a teenager because I do not like adult's telling me what to do. It was a little bit slow, but if you read a lot in one shot, it will start to get interesting. so it would be fun to be stranded on an island for a little bit. Then again I would not be able to survive on my own so maybe not. This is a great classic and I recommend it to everyone! Well, until next time....

Why is Snot Green? - by Glenn Murphy

Believe it or not, this book is actually not what you think. It actually has a lot of interesting questions and answers to questions kids like me would like to know. Like, what is the space made out of? Although, it looks funny, it puts these complex answers into a short, funny way of understanding it. There are also questions about the human body and animals. It's an easy read, but also very interesting, so if you want to know some facts, then check this book out! Well, until next time...

Christmas Jars by Jason Wright

Christmas Jars is a book about a women who works for a newspaper company. Her place in the office is just like any other normal worker, but when she releases her story, it becomes a great hit and is printed on the front page of the newspaper. It all starts on a Christmas Eve night when she opens her apartment door and everything is destroyed. She is shocked that someone had robbed her. She calls the police and they come in an instant. When she walks out of her door, she notices a jar labeled "Christmas Jar". She asks the police if they put that there but they said it was there when they came. Knocking on peoples doors she asks them if its their's and they say "No, keep it for yourself." This story goes is about Hope Jensen trying to find who left the Christmas Jars and why?

This is a very inspiring story. It had quite a few sad parts, but it's nice in the end. I recommend this story to anyone who wants to read something that is inspiring. It inspires you to make your own Christmas Jar and give it to people who are in need. Well, until next time....

Augustus Pelletier - Book Review

Kathryn Lasky wrote The Journal of Augustus Pelletier. This book is about a 13-year-old boy named Augustus, that tells about the Lewis and Clark Expediton from his point of view. It is interesting how this book goes in detail from the animals that Lewis caught to the great rivers they named. Their expedition ended at the Pacific Ocean, or as they call it "The Shining Sea." On the Journey they meet various Indian tribes, I am sure you have heard of Sacagawea. She was part of the Shoshini tribe. Sacagawea was separated from her tribe at a young age and sold. In this book, their are harsh parts, like whippings being given for ridiculous reasons, and their are glorious parts like a new child being born.

I found this book very interesting. I learned quite a lot from it, but it was still fun to read. I found myself reading it at my cousin's house when I was bored. I recommend this book to anyone who likes history or wants to read about an interesting journey with ups and downs. Well, Until next time....

The Mark of Athena - Book Review

The Mark of Athena is the third book of the series "The Heroes of Olympus." It is about 7 demigods who go on a quest to close the doors of death, and along the way find more troubles that they have to solve. The Mark of Athena is the path the children of Athena have to take in their lifetime. They try to find the Athena Parthenos, but no Athena child has ever found it. Until Annabeth Chase takes up the Mark and find the statue which is guarded by...."THE WEAVER."

I really enjoyed this book just like the two other books before it. I was kind of bummed out because the war between Gaea and the Gods and Demigods didn't occur in this book. I am guessing it is in the next book, but its coming out next fall! Oh well i will have to wait. All in all this book was outstanding! I recommend it to greek/roman mythology lovers or people who like myths. Until next time readers...

The Son of Neptune- Book Review

"The Son of Neptune", is the sequel to, "The Lost Hero".  This book is about Percy Jackson in the Roman camp and the people at the camp who are trying to help him find out what happened to everyone. He has no memory, so he doesn't know where he is or how he got there. There are awesome quests and battles just like in the first book. It is great, I recommend that you read both books.

I rate this book 5 stars just like the last one! It is a mystery and you never know what to expect. Sometimes you think you know what will happen, and it just turns the story around. There are sad parts, cool parts, and glorious parts. It's a well put-together book. The author knows his History and what he's writing about. I can't wait till I read the third book that just came out, "The Mark of Athena".

The Lost Hero- Book Review

Rick Riordan is my favorite author. You may know him for his Percy Jackson Series, about Greek Mythology, which is my favorite series at the moment. He made a new series called, "The Heroes of Olympus". It is a sequel to the Percy Jackson Series. In this new series, Roman Mythology mixes with Greek Mythology. The first book of "The Heroes of Olympus Series" is called, "The Lost Hero". It is about a kid named Jason Grace. Jason is just like Percy Jackson, but on the roman side. He has two other close friends, just like Percy Jackson does. The wife of Zeus, the Goddess Hera, took the memory of Percy and Jason. She then switched them around putting Jason in the Greek Camp and Percy in the Roman one. Percy's friends at the Greek Camp, are searching for Percy and trying to find out what happened to him and Jason.

I liked to read about Jason's experience at Camp Half Blood, to see how it is different from Percy's in the previous series. I recommend this book to everyone. It teaches you about Greek and Roman Mythology in a fun way. I mean, I don't even know I'm learning until I'm talking to my dad about all the gods. I realize then it's so great that I actually memorized the things in the book. The battles in the book are amazing. The way they describe is so realistic it makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the action. I would rate this book 5 stars! Well, until next time readers...

Book Review- Heaven is for Real

I always ask my dad questions about religion, news, and basically anything. I attend a catholic school and believe in the Catholic Religion. One day I was in my room doing homework. My dad knocks and comes in. He says: "Adam I think you'll like this book." I replied: "Thank You." I look at the book. It's called "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo. At first I thought that it would be boring, but it's actually pretty interesting. It's about a 3 year-old-boy got really sick and died for a short amount of time. Then the doctors brought him back to life, and he explains his experience in heaven to his parents.

This book was very interesting. I was amazed at what Colton (the 3 year old) said. It is an inspirational book. I recommend it to anyone even if you don't believe in God, because it is very interesting. You never know what to expect...
